As expected, the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabriolet will be making its North American debut at the upcoming 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Scuderia Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa put the new Fiat 500 Abarth Cabriolet to the test in Austin, Texas, and the Italian automaker has released a teaser video stating that “the baddest cars don’t need a roof.”

When the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabriolet makes its official debut, it’s expected to be powered by the same 1.4-liter, turbocharged engine that’s currently found in the Abarth 500 coupe. Sporting 160 hp, the Fiat 500 Abarth convertible will most likely use the same retractable cloth roof found in the standard Fiat 500 Cabriolet model.
